I think you missed the little detail that they're going to implement party oriented dungeons in a few days. Yes, I think you did.Wait so he think party play is not for ffxiv wtf? ok yoshi-p i love to party playing by myself level up is boring i get sick of it within 30-1hour vs Finding people take about 30-1hour then play for 1-4hours level up.
I hope you still working on something for party just fix the dam SP from mobs and allow us to do camps like in ffxi so players like us can do it and let the casual do the soloing.
Forgot the little detail that Dungeon have 60min limit and he said they be a limit how many you can do a day or few hours not really a party to get yourself 1-50 now is it? I'm talking about going out and fighting mobs to level up for the few of us who still enjoy that from FFXI. I understand that there are casual people who just want to solo but that just not me i can't stand logging in playing by myself or made to play by myself because party give you no SP due to mobs giving no good SP. Also now with the Leves becoming more solo and less SP if you don't get them done fast enough there no point in doing them in a party if they give the same amoumt of sp if i still get them done with leve linking then ok if not then it pointless.
I read all the interview from E3 2009 dungeon would be limit to how many you can do a 60min meaning it not a very good party not if it give you 1-3+k Sp per kill.

That's all nice and all, but stuff endgame content.. I'd prefer to enjoy the journey getting there.
Places to explore, being encouraged to range far and wide in my character progression, to group with people and enjoy just playing together rather than obsessing over how fast we gain experience, finding/working to acquire special items or solving puzzles..
The 'rush to cap/endgame' thing is one of the most poisonous things you can encourage when developing an MMO, in my opinion. Sure there should be stuff to do at the end, and people should be allowed to rush if they want.. but there should be no more to do at the end than there is along the way, and the wide-ranging impression should be that the people who rushed chose to miss out on something, not that they got the boring bit out of the way quickly. 'Hope that's kept in mind and all.

I agree it about the journey when i got done with cop i was very happy 5month of work finding people waiting for people and doing them over and over to get it done was pain in the A** but it was a good feeling of reward at the end. Yoshi-p seem to be making this casual even tho he a hardcore game player i understand that the market right now is casual but toss as a bone for the love of god don't make this 100% soloThat's all nice and all, but stuff endgame content.. I'd prefer to enjoy the journey getting there.

This, a thousand times over. I absolutely abhor this "end-game" mindset that Everquest and WoW have created. Unfortunately, as Yoshi has hinted that he was very much an EQ fan, it's probably something that we're going to see in spades. That's all nice and all, but stuff endgame content.. I'd prefer to enjoy the journey getting there.

the new jobs wont need to be lvled, theyll be the same lvl as the class your playing.Doing the math, that's about 9-10 days /played to reach cap. Slower than the current crop of MMOs (which have you hitting cap in 3-5 days /played, if that), but blazingly fast compared to FFXI and EQ era games. Honestly, that doesn't sound like a terrible trade off. Though I wonder how these new jobs will fare with this leveling speed.
