Could you imagine how horrendous it would be if half a dozen or more parties started one of these "grind 100 mobs" leves?

It could be pretty bad, hopefully the system would load balance and spawn the mobs in different locations so it doesn't get to crowded... Plus they could also only spawn a few at a time so not to make the map to busy and as you finish some off, more jump out of the bushes!
Personally, I would love for their to be party leves with/without a time limit where the objective was to kill a lot of mobs, balance will be key, so I'm very interested in what the game will look like by it's one year anniversary.

yeah they would have to have them spawn different areas, and it couldn't be like how it is now where everyone does leves cause its the only thing. I think its a cool idea, and it would add a little more content to the game in a seemingly easy way. The more ways they add to get sp the less monotonous the game will feel.
also throw a boss in at the end, why not.

So you mean... a dungeon?

yeah, i think you get what i meant... grind+npc+boss doesn't necessarily = dungeon
wolfie,
It was just a suggestion to take the typical grinding on one mob to the next lvl and offer a reward and a boss and maybe a cut scene, i wouldn't call it a dungeon (especially since i was thinking open world but i guess they could be in a cave, idc). we all know how sensitive people can get when using words like "dungeon" or "raid" so ill refer to it as a "grind fest" for now. All aspects of leveling are the same, you kill mobs get sp call it what you want.

Also, I would still love to see something along the lines of Public Quests / Public events where everyone in the zone (not region, but zone, drybone, emerald moss, broken water) would be tasked with a huge over arching goal... Kill 500 dodos, and these wouldn't be special mobs, but just regular mobs, and everyone who kills a dodo in the public event/quest zone would contribute to the total for that part of the quest/event...
Rewards could be given out by the amount of participation the player/party did... Ether some form of point/currency system to use to trade in for loot, or the ability to roll for loot with perspiration points adding to your roll.
This is something that I thought Warhammer did very well, and while we don't need their system, but the general idea is something that I think would add a lot of dynamic content and value to those playing the game.
Just a thought.![]()

I'm not trying to be nasty here, but I honestly don't see the purpose of creating duplicate content like that... especially if the only difference is instanced vs open world.
Actually it wouldn't even be open world per-se seeing as how only your group can attack the mobs. So it would almost identical to raids.
