Guildleves are being re-positioned as casual, solo content - that's wonderful.
What of the player-base that prefer to grind in parties?

It looks like I was right when I told people to not jump the gun when they seen "We are pushed back 2 weeks" and assumed it meant patch in 2 weeks.
I personally can't wait for this patch it looks like they have been working on alot more than just Auto Attack.

Well, he already gave a hint in the letter when that will be. Which would fit in with two weeks from Late June.
So, perhaps is was a safe assumption for people to expect it in the first week of July.Originally Posted by Yoshia

that wasn't a hint if you fully read what that part said. He Meant during the week people work full time jobs going on 8+ hours a day. You tend to be fatigued from working and may log on to just poke around, but on the weekends chances are your off work and will be much more willing to do much more difficault things that require grouping and playing.
im absolutely shocked that people are so ignorant and even have such a boring mindset of what good gameplay is.
heres the counter to the mindset im seeing:
levequests are boring, it should be written in every countries law that you have to agree to this... leve quests are boring and should be left to solo/casual players with little time or interest.
the entire function of a levequest just screams casual to me, especially since it forces us to play in the same horrible landscapes that we also DoH in, walk in, stand in, chat with LS in, and fighting the same mobs you just walked past to get to the camp (even if they be mobs part of another persons levequest)
heres the counter to the ignorance im seeing:
did you all forget the dungeons? THOSE are how people should be leveling. DUNGEONS COME IN ALL FORMS AND SIZES, different paths, different dungeons, different mobs, different objectives, different areas, perhaps quests will be involved in even being able to do the dungeons.
de-focusing guild leves is the correct choice in the FIRST STEP in creating new and BETTER avenues for groups to level up and achieve loot.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
I love the landscapes in ffxiv :3especially since it forces us to play in the same horrible landscapes that we also DoH in, walk in, stand in, chat with LS in, and fighting the same mobs you just walked past to get to the camp
Totally agree with the dodos getting boring though... Rather persistent for being extinct imo...
Good point in that party content needed to be different from solo content-- I think they're defo on the right track![]()

Excellent progress! These is exactly the kind of problem solving that this game needed.
Keep it up!
My only concern is quest sp. Most quest sp games are 1 character 1 class. That would mean they need enough quests at all levels for every class and new classes being added if you enjoy those. I'm all for options but all I can see is people will run out of quests and still have classes they want to level.
If they can pull this off though plus with the addition of raid dungeons and all these quests, we will have a lot to do in this game. Another concern is this game becoming solo centric because of the "best exp/hr" mindset. Since looking/waiting for a group "wastes time" waiting for people to rest "wastes time" talking in a party "wastes time". I perfer fun leveling over efficiant leveling. Because efficiency isn't about having fun in my eyes.

14 has been doing that.
this isnt a quest leveling based game. Questing is 1 option to level up, leves are another, grinding is another, dungeons will be another.
In all these other games, your pretty much stuck questing, and thats it

And FF quests are totally worth doing too! One quest, 'the best flower ever,' is horrible SP wise, but is so awesome in a million other ways that it's hard to not want to hug SE afterwards![]()
