Subscriptions across multiple platforms.

I have a couple of simple questions about playing this game on multiple platforms and the subscription service.

1) If I buy this game on PC and PS3 (with the intention of migrating that PS3 version to a PS4 version eventually) do I have to pay one monthly subscription or two in order to be able to play on PC and PS4?

2) I already have this Square enix account. I have never played the retail version before on it. I have played the PS4 beta on it. When I buy a new copy or FFXIV will I be able to activate the free 30 days that you get with new copies?

3) Can a character created on the PS4 retail version also be played on the PC version (and visa versa) or are they locked to a particular platform?

A. 1) You can use your account across multiple platforms you. However, you cannot play multiple characters at the same time with only one sub.

A. 3) Characters can be played as the character data is linked to your account not the platform.

Although I am not certain about this I don't think you can use the bonus 30 days on an established account. I didn't try though so someone else might be better apt to answer #2.

So if I had 1 character I could play that on both PC and PS4 using one sub, but I couldn't play character A on PC whilst playing character B on PS4?

So If I had played character A on both PC and PS4, how could I make a new character on PS4 (which I didn't intend to use on PC)?. Would it be possible or would I somehow have to delete character A from the PC version so that I could have multiple characters on the PS4 version?

The TOS (Terms of Service) prohibit you from using both at the same time. But I switch between PS3 and PC all the time.

No you cant log into your account to send materials , gil , or event items to your other character.

This is called MULES and SE does not want you to be able to MULE. Not so much you personally but... more so to combat RMT / GIL SELLERS.

So to answer your question.. No you cant CHEAT.

My question is simply as written.

I'm playing the PS4 beta and I can get both the PC version and the PS3 version (which can be exchanged for the PS4 version) dirt cheap at the moment so I'm trying to see whether the subscription is locked to a Square Enix account or whether it is dealt with on a platform by platform basis, in case the performance of the PS4 version isn't satisfactory.

I'm not remotely interested in doing what you are suggesting, although I'm still not totally clear what I can play on how many platforms under one subscription.

With one subscription, you can play characters on that subscription on any platform you want. The subscription is locked to an account, not to a platform.

The only thing is, you can only have one character from the subscription logged in at a given time (regardless of which platform it is logged in on). Does that clarify it?

I think so. The simultaneous login restriction is fine because I'm not trying to abuse anything as suggested above.

Am I able to create more than one character and play them across all platforms? (of course understanding that I can't log different characters in at the same time) i.e. there isn't any restriction about playing multiple characters across multiple platforms one at a time is there? I woudn't want to have to delete a character in order to be able to make a new one.
