Anyway, they told that there are gonna be new Classes, so maybe the Bard is an extention of, I dunno... Musician?
Expect anything!

They should add a Jongleur(French entertainer) class, and with it release the Dancer and Bard jobs.

Also if anything, they could just add an assassin/rogue class and have that lead into Thief or Ninja. Give 'em a Kris and call it a day, says I.

Could this be the most insightful interview ever conducted since the launch of the game? I think it may be.

As for Jobs, One for One is fine for now, plenty to keep busy with. Remember that there are a ton of other Classes not yet available, each will have their own Job. On top of that there will be the possibility of a Class having two Jobs and two Classes involved in one Job. All very exciting!

The Archer and Bard link seems to come outta nowhere. My view is that Archer may become Ranger with an Offhand Dagger, Crossbows, Guns, Boomerangs and abilities such as Widescan.

Whats up with all the brd love here lol? I couldnt stand playing it in FFXI, and it was overly wanted in there. What i do want is my EQ bard...the duel wielding semi-DD/buffer....so much better there. So ifs like the EQ bard, il be all over it, if not, im all for my dragon knight (WANTS PET DRAGON NOWZ)

He understands Marc's good will so don't worry to much; don't think this part needs direct translation.)

少し前のスレの流れに「どのクラスがどのジョブに～」というお話しがありました。
明確に今仕様をお話しするのは、調整の観点から時期尚早なので方針だけ。
仕様公開可能になれば、バトルシステム側へポストしますが、
ジョブの実装はクラスバランスの根本調整後になるので、今しばらく時間がかかります。
（パッチ1.20以降を想定しています）
A while ago in the thread there was a talk about which job will be for what class.
It's too early to talk about this right now; so just the plan for now.
Once the information is set and allowed to be announced, I will post post on the battle system side.
Implementation of the job will be after adjustments to the class balance, so it will take some more time.

Buffer/CC as a class/job function of its own, guess that means RDM and/or BRD, at least for starters.
