Housing - Furniture Combos

Just want to mention that I am absolutely in love with all these postings.

I bought my 1st own house earlier this week and therefore just started housing. This here is an awesome inspiration. I didn't even know you were able to place all of those items into each other.
Can't wait to get home and try out some of the tricks. <3

Congratulations on your new house I just got mine this week too. The tier 4 aquarium was a housewarming gift from a friend. I'm probably the only person who won't worry about the item limit as it takes up half the room lol

In my T4 aquarium's last setup, I wanted the Sophia miniature in the middle (and the tank was on the floor). The mini wasn't high enough off the floor to stay floating (she'd snap back to the ground), so I set her on an Oriental Round Table, which was the perfect height. The tank kept snapping to the table until I set the table into the left side of the tank (and moved the mini to the for right edge if the table). I had to leave the table in there, but the tank also stayed on the floor.

When you have a second surface things can naturally stand on (in your case, the floor) it "only" takes some fiddling around to find the right spot for it to latch onto that instead of the other surface.
The problem is when you ONLY have one surface (like the kitchen counter) and want the aquarium to stay afloat above that without any support (like a shelf), it's getting drawn in by the furniture below :x

It even works the other way around, too. Placing an aquarium halfway into a table (to hide the feet in it) had it snap upwards to stand on the table normally again as soon as I exited the housing menu. Which, btw, is something I've done countless times before and never had any troubles with with vases, flowerpots, books and the like.

Actually I have seen a couple of neat iterations of this. This one's mine which combined a couple of housing ideas from the reddit furnishing page.

I'm wondering, has anyone alrady tried a combo using the Twin Serpent Couch (not sure for the english name, the couch you got with seeals from the gridanian GC).
I like the lamp/bookshelf/branchs on it, but I feel it could be enhance as a better bed...

As always, I'm here to share yet another small idea to hide necessities x)
I always find it annoying that I need them, but they visually might not fit in or I don't have room for them or anything.
Sure, they can be hidden in a wall or planter, but then you have NPCS spawning in walls or interact with a flowerpot to see your own diary..and that's just plain weird.

So, newest addition on the left:



Glade Bookshelf + The Unending Journey. Interaction looks natural
Beside it is Glade Bookshelf + Glade Sideboard which only differs by the color of it's handles.
