i tried to recreate this floating stuffed picture setup... but everytime i set the wall or picture back it reverts to normal and my manderville picture reshows itself
is there something i need to do additionally?

Do you have a screenshot of what it's doing? If there's a wall/partition close enough the picture is likely latching on to that automatically. Sometimes when you're adjusting one thing, nearby objects that you're doing the float trick to will latch on and you have to re-do the trick to that object as well.
Anyone has a fix for the moving furniture bug?
I tried to put lanterns into the pillars of my oriental bench, and wanted it to be perfectly lined up so the pillars turn into framework for the lanterns.
But, as you can see, each time I leave, the lanterns move all over the place x.x
I knew this was an issue inside, but first time I encountered it in the yard. After about 35 resets, I managed to predict where they would jump to enough to at least make it look the same on both pillars,
but the frame isn't equal now, the outer rim is noticably thinner than the inner one
It's not as bad as before, and COULD be mistaken to be on purpose, but still :/
Is there no way to force them to stay where you place them?
The usual floating trick, except that's not a wall, it's double Riviera Pillars placed side-by-side.

Afraid there's no way around that one. The best speculations at the moment is the X-Y coordination are round off to the nearest decimals after you leave the housing instance.Anyone has a fix for the moving furniture bug?

To those who have troubling with auto correction placement glitch. There two ways to do it. Easy way is seeing which way it auto corrects and how far off it went. Example you trying to center a portrait or lamp do the usual center the item zone out come back see which way it corrected. If it went to much to the left redo it but this time place the item a little more to the right then zone see if it's placed where u want it if it's a little better but still a little on the left then redo but place it a little more to the right. Same goes with sunken portraits but all u gata do is place it more out. It takes a few tries but it works for me . Second way is using a partian wall over the back drop where u want the puller or wall you want item to be do the float trick take out the wall zone and come back. Hope that helps. Wall trick also works on FC room to put a Rivera shelf or wall planter right under the fc room windowI'll have a pic posted later I'm at work! Lol
Something random I came up with recently:
I found this on the internet:
