I love the idea. Player competitiveness is what keeps MMOs lively, whether it's PvP or PvE challenges.

I couldn't deny that, in fact, competition exists in every game in some form or another, but most of the competition that exists in FFXIV right now is just being the highest rank in all classes and having the best equipment. This game needs alternate forms of competition, and more-so needs to involve more skill than just having the best stats.
