We have and they clearly stated that each weapon class will unlock 1 job only.Has anyone considered the possibility of classes that branch?
I know it's a bit much to expect from them at the moment, but i was thinking each (or at least some) classes would unlock multiple job quests.
For example: Conjurer reaches a designated rank which in turn opens up multiple job quests. This would allow a conjurer to then specialize by becoming either a Black Mage(by undertaking the black mage quest) or a white mage(by doing the opposite). Although i could see allowing both quests to be undertaken. You could then have one job use a radical and the other use a wand. Just ideas, but not a rediculous concept.
Some job ideas
Gladiator = PLD or Assassin(using daggers and learning to dual wield)
Lancer = Dragoon(with pet) or Halberdier(lance + shield tank)
Marauder = Dark Knight (unlocking specialized magic) or something that allows access to great swords
there really are alot of possibilities if you think more FFtactics.

At initial release yes, but they plan on making it more complex with time:

Among other things:
"Although the time is unknown, they are planning to have "combined job" which is obtained by two specified class over specified rank. For example, CON + THM = Red Mage."
"In the future, not only jobs but also classes will be expanded."
You are correct, but that is not what he suggested. He suggested one weapon opening more than one job. What is described in the interview is combinations of weapon classes unlocking one job, which is like FFT.At initial release yes, but they plan on making it more complex with time:

The suggestion Leenk made are ok but even if he says "think of FFTactics", what he describes is more like multiple paths for one weapon class. FFT from what I remember is "combination of jobs at X level" to unlock another job.

Yeah I realize that, my point was that with time we will presumably have a more complex system than the simple 1class-1job that they plan to start with.You are correct, but that is not what he suggested. Considering how things are going on i'm wandering if i'll still be alive when this is gonna happen...At initial release yes, but they plan on making it more complex with time:

FFT says "Ahoy mateys!"
We all say "Ahoy, Cap'n!"
