Or at the very least have some of them like some of the guildhests.
Just for reference for those who haven't played Tera, here is a very basic overview of Surjuka Gallery. The goal is to defend a crystal in the center of an arena against waves of enemies. As you play, your group earns points and your groups score at the end determines how good your reward is.
Some examples of ways to get points:
-killing with basic attack
-Each mob killed is worth a certain amount
-Remaining health on the crystal you are trying to protect
-Time remaining at the end of the round
-ect.
At the end of the dungeon, if the group score above X they would get a gold which gave the most tokens, if they got above Y, the would get a silver and get a couple tokens, and if they get above Z they get a bronze for very few tokens.
Questing is like participating in an Old Spice Commercial - Talk to me, talk to him, talk to me, talk to him, Now Talk To Me...Sadly, you are not done, back to him, look there, its that mob I never liked, back to me, back to him...I'm in the Waking Sands.
Yes yes. Dont forget jumping- each jump gives some score. Healing the critical health gives points too. A lot of different variants- developers just need to use imagination. Such dungeons can be a great entertainment in PvE game- the reason for players to log in even if they lost game interestJust for reference for those who haven't played Tera, here is a very basic overview of Surjuka Gallery...

Why don't we just condense this down some and make it what everyones saying in one.. Treasure maps can unlock a guildhest style "short dungeon" randomly, low chance, with better rewards that outdoor chests. Would only work for max rank (4-8 man?) maps, and would give a reason to actually gather anything higher than boarskins.

There was once a content with a score system for the reward in 1.0
60k points was needed to get the golden chest at the end.
It would be good to have something like this again (but a bit better)
And in dungeons extra chests after defeating the boss if specific monsters got killed and if all the other chests on the way got opened.
I hope I never meet you in DF as healer.Wut? No one cares about roles here, in fact everything has been so dumbed down that people don't even have to know there roles, then on top of that. Everyone can play any class so no one takes a long time playing any class to actually LEARN it.
I literally can just smash anything in this game, other games not so much.
Ontopic: I like how Aion did DP, depending on what score you got depends on what boss and loots you got.

I thought about kinds of rules for sport-score dungeons and one of the kind could be class rules. For example, monk musnt lose GL buff. If that happened- score (time) penalty. BLM musnt gain Umbral Ice_3 or Astral Fire_3. If that happened- penalty. Or BLM musnt use Transpose. If happened- penalty. A LOT of different rules can be created for sport-score dungeons

you want hard dungeon for low level story quest?
do you have something against newbie?
dungeon become harder from level 35 for new players
example The Sunken Temple of Qarn
edit:
you can joined any end game dungeon for hard mechanics (EX, CT...etc)In Tera such dungeons open on max level (60) and, of course, better gear- better result
though not many people like sport fight in FF unless it's blitzball
(how many people play FFXI pvp?)

What OP wants is an arcade game. The dungeons now could be more interesting but please don't do time trials... Make new dungeons with new mechanics, instead of hair pulling mind numbing recycled dungeons with a trial label pasted over.
