    About failing leves on disconnect.

Is anything going to be done about this? You have no idea how many leves I failed due to disconnects. Why can't we simply log back in and continue our leves?

Players are still getting disconnect? You could easy be getting

    A:internet packages lost
B: You playing to high setting and your pc can't take it so your FFXIV stop working.

Open your ports if that does not help at least you download the update x3 faster then you are not if you have not yet open the.

I stop getting disconnect from the game when they update the game back in nov.

Reason why you can't redo the leves is

Player A 1 mob away from getting the leve done, He disconnect himself and then does the leve again. He could do this 100times a day and get max SP each time.

But they could easy fix this by allowing us to only do it again onces but still allow players to redo leves over and over again so they can have 8+8 leves per reset. I think that the reason for not allowing us.

I don't see why the game can't just detect that the player has disconnected, pause the leve, and then pick up right where the player left off. That way they'll still only be able to do the leve once per reset.

That would be great, wouldn't it? But the leve would have to be paused for all of the people in your group... Which could be an annoyance sometimes.

I would prefer if they could somehow resolve the constant game crashes and disconnects that so many people suffer from.. but that probably isn't going to happen any time soon.

yeah there really is no easy solution to this since leves can be shared. just a necessary evil. just remember there is always more sp to be gained. a loss of a couple K in sp is really nothing to cry over in the long run

Ah, my apologies, I thought based on posts before mine, we were talking about soloing leves. Obviously if you're doing them in a party, we'd use the current system, where you can go back and touch the aetheryte and join in again. Cumbersome, but it's really the best solution. My only complaint there is that for that to work, the person who initiated the leve has to be the party leader, which in my opinion shouldn't be a requirement.

Of course it would be better if they alleviated the disconnection issues, but there are also other reasons for losing connection, such as a blip in internet connectivity or a power outage, that can't be fixed by patching the game.

The leves don't have to pause, the timer can continue while you're disconnected exactly like when youre in a party.
If you stay disconnected till the 30 mins timer ends, then yeah you should lose the leve (at least I know I won't mind that much), but they should make it so that you can continue the leve from where you left it if you manage to re-log in the given 30 mins limit.

The guildleve would have to remember that you were in the group, and apply mob kills by your group towards your own count, even while disconnected. But it's do-able.. would be great if they managed to pull it off.

Still, since it can take up to 10 minutes to get back on the game a lot of the time, you're kind of screwed either way.

You can redo the leves you failed on your next leve reset. This should help ease the sting, as well as help any future players who fail their leves.

What happens is, when you fail, in your journal it will have a red "x" to note the failure. On your next leve reset, upon talking to any leve issuer, that failed leve will be AUTO-renewed (it auto-renews even before choosing new leves). If you exit out and look in your journal, you will notice the red x is gone and it will be "open" for you to redo. Now you can go back and redo-it, same reward as before.

Then you can now go back and choose your new leves, so effectively, you will be doing 9 leves on this cycle (so if you failed all 8 leves last cycle, you can do 16 leves total on the next cycle if you choose to do so). If you decide to select new leves before redoing your failed leve, be sure not to trade that leve for a new one.

I haven't done it after the 1.16 patch, but guessing it still works this way.
