Pet Hotbar is stuck on

Steps:
1. Navigate to Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > Cross > General Settings > "Use Pet Hotbar"
2. Remove Check Box next to Use Pet Hotbar
3. Select Apply
4. Summon Pet
RESULT - Pet Hotbar is still displayed

I suggest you turn back on the option you disabled. It has nothing to do with your issue. All it does is allow you to press R1 to switch to the pet-cross bar and back.

What you want is Character Settings > Hotbars > Display > Uncheck the one that's "Show pet hotbar" or something like that.

I've been playing since BETA, and had this setting was disabled in Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > Cross > General Settings > "Use Pet Hotbar" previously.

The Pet Hotbar was never displayed before the patch because I play with the Cross Hotbar in game, not the typical keyboard Hotkeys.

I did locate the setting for Pet Hotbar Display, and this has removed the Pet Hotbar from my screen.

Why would the Standard Hotbar be displayed for Cross Hotbar players?

In any case, I'm glad it was easy to fix and thank you for the pointer.

While this will get rid of the horizontal pet hotbar for summons, the horizontal hotbar that appears when doing a mounted beast tribe quest will remain stuck on your screen. I had to move it to a corner as well but its still unsightly and redundant, considering the mount hotbar takes over your default one already.

I made a post about this too and it was promptly moved to "Not A Bug Report".

I changed nothing after 2.16 was released, yet the regular pet hotbar always showed up even though I'm using a gamepad and cross hotbars. I was told to do the same thing; change it in Character Settings (because for whatever stupid reason, pressing the hide/show button in HUD layout does nothing for this particular element). While it hides the pet hotbar, the + hotbars for cannons in CM or mount actions for daily quests/the Praetorium are still visible and impossible to hide.

Seems to me they moved it to the Not A Bug Report forum before even trying to confirm the bug... It takes what, 30 seconds to confirm, it obstructs my screen and I have no use for it, it happened to other people too, yet the report was just ignored.
