Is there an unneeded hostility towards regular classes in this game?

There isn't *any* unneeded hostility. It is rightly founded hostility. If you're willing to nerf your primary job to be a jack of all trades, then the issue is you're not doing your job and that's what people are hating.

But a good Smn would far out-dps a good Arc.

By choosing to do poorer dps, it's very understandable random's would kick you and many would simply think your "trolling".

If you want to play Arc, don't expect everyone to accept your choice to do lower damage and make your own party's for content like CT if you want to avoid this.

This is not trolling, nor is it an ego trip, it's simply the way most see it.

I should have realised using "Arc" during the context of this thread may have been a bit too hard for you to understand, apologies.

Did Titan HM several times today, another Summoner had Ifrit out, I told him to use Garuda. He changed instantly and we started the fight.

As a former XI player this thread made me very sad, he dragged the good name right through the mud with every mention of it.

This point has been said many times but let me just say this one more time in hopes it sticks(slim chances here). The numbers don't lie and are intentionally choosing to do less damage.
