you're more than free to do whatever you want. but when you're in a dungeon/raid, your decisions affect a group. for example, if you're playing the role of DPS but spending your time healing, not because the healers are bad, but because of your "ADHD", then you're slowing down and gimping the entire party. so if your decision to play the game different is affecting the entire party, that party has every right to call you out on it. If you want to be worried about everyone's health, then become a scholar. at least then your heals will actually have some power behind them. but you can't expect parties being slowed down by your decision "to play a different way" to not call you out on gimping the party.

if you want to do endgame content as an arcanist, get a party together and do it with friends that already know that's your plan. but you can't join the pf or df and expect your party to pick up the slack you bring to the table by gimping yourself.

there's no real argument here. SMN > ACN and SCH > ACN. you're sacrificing way too much by not equipping the soul crystal. if that's how you want to roll, do it with friends not with strangers.
