Being a good healer doesn't have anything to do with sucky partymates. So nope, point invalid. I'm not saying you're bad and all, but not having a Swiftcast to save someone else's ass if they make "oh shit" mistake is just a no-no in the long run.

I'm just going to say she's a bad healer, simply for the fact that she seems to think that her party's survival depends solely on her, and any healer (myself being a healer) who thinks that is a little too self absorbed. You can be the best healer in the world and that's not going to keep your party alive if your teammates are getting 1hko-ed by double ww because your tank doesn't have the gear to survive it or if your party gets dive bombed to death by Twintania or got hit by Twintania's fireball because they didn't notice the marker over their head or couldn't see it because it can be hard to see if facing conflag when it pops up. I can guarantee with 100% certainty that you've been in parties before where someone has died on accident, and giving the impression that you've never had that problem because you're such an awesome healer only tells people that you're full of crap.

A healer without swiftcast is like a runner with a rolled ankle. You can still run on that ankle, but you're not going to run as fast. If a party member dies during titan hm or tian ex and you don't have swiftcast, you're not going to get them up without limit break or if you do manage to pull it off you got extremely lucky. In the end, the arguement comes down to "do I want to spend the better part of 8 seconds trying to raise someone and hope my party can hold out, or do I want to be able to instantly raise someone so my party doesn't have to try and hold out." 8 seconds is a very long time when you're fighting the ex primals or coil.

when i went healer way i met more bad healers than bad tanks

i didnt even need to SS MT be4 double wicked wheels in garuda EX

even Ifrit EX is it really that hard to spam Cure II on MT?

i was like O_O when i did that all it felt easier than i thought yet i find ppl suck at that

decent healers can do their job properly.

good healers can cover other people's mistakes.

it's good to have none of your party dies but if they die then swift-raise is useful.

I recommend leveling thaumaturge 1st since it has the most useful abilities for a whm compared to acn.

Ice2 is a nice aoe attack that binds, its similar to holy, but it attack potency is low yet the bind effect lasts longer. Then there's surecast which allows you to not be interrupted while casting. Then there swift cast.
