Unicorns impervious to water?

Probably being a bit fussy here but the unicorn is my favourite mount. Water doesn't seem to change the look of it at all, surely it's mane and tail should become as shiny as my own hair. The unicorns hair already looked a bit strange, but seeing it next to my own during wet weather makes it look worse than ever. The wet effect is more noticeable on other mounts, particularly behemoth.

They don't get wet because these unicorns are coated with sugar, spice and everything nice... and some molbol potions, ochu tonics, and titan miracle grow lotion. Now you know why unicorns shoot rainbow from their.........................

Oh that sucks, I haven't used my miqo'te since the update so I didn't see that.

Do Nightmares get shiny coats in rain? Because if so, it is likely just that someone forgot to apply the code to unicorns (Miqo'tails however, I am at a loss with. Miqo'te are pretty much FFXIV mascots so I can't understand how that could have been overlooked).

Speaking of nightmares and unicorns; Any chance that we'll ever get particle effect trails for the unicorns like with the nightmares, except with sparkles? Matching sparkles with the fairies, maybe for the Dx11 version?

Even though they shouldn't have been excluded from the ever-so-micro-slight visual change during rain, erhm they are so ghastly to look at, not sure it matters. Ugliest. Unicorns. Ever. Created. In. A. Video. Game. Did I say EVER?

Hopefully since its something you and others enjoy, SE takes the time to make some adjustments for you eventually.

Have to agree... I think they were too firmly based on a drawing. That's what they look like, with the stiffness of a sketch made 3D. If their hair moved a little more naturally I don't think they'd look so bad at least.

But yeah, hopefully you guys get your shiny mounts too. Good luck.

The unicorn's conformation is sort of hilarious to me, since I was an equestrian a few years ago. Sway back, hint of parrot mouth (strangely flattened into a frown), spoiled pony tummy (as it was called in one of my stables), pigeon-breasted... I forgot what that croup was called in English and the legs aren't really up to snuff either. Would make a superb pasture ornament (especially since they seem impervious to rain rot.).
