    I was told to try out some macros for my bard, any suggestions?

    oh boy where to begin to make BRD easier to play.. hmm..
    /micon "Heavy Shot"
    /ac "Misery's End" <t>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <t>
    /ac "Heavy Shot" <t>
    /ac "Misery's End" <tt>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <tt>
    /ac "Heavy Shot" <tt>
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    /micon "Straight Shot"
    /ac "Misery's End" <t>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <t>
    /ac "Straight Shot" <t>
    /ac "Misery's End" <tt>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <tt>
    /ac "Straight Shot" <tt>
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    /micon "Venomous Bite"
    /ac "Bloodletter" <t>
    /ac "Venomous Bite" <t>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <tt>
    /ac" Venomous Bite" <tt>
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    /micon "Windbite"
    /ac "Bloodletter" <t>
    /ac "Windbite" <t>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <tt>
    /ac "Windbite" <tt>
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    /micon "Blunt Arrow"
    /p <Blunt Arrow> <Just Used It.> >>----[] <t> <Ready!> 30 <Seconds> <se.7>
    /ac "Blunt Arrow" <t>

    Simply put, theres just a priority to follow.
    Is Straight shot up? If not, use it.
    Are DOTs up? If not, use them.
    Are buffs and DOTs both up? If so, proceed to straight shot spam.
    Did Straighter Shot proc? Use Straight Shot.

    Then comes the extra questions.
    Are the mobs being kept mostly stable? If so, use Flaming Arrow under them.
    Is it viable you WON'T steal hate by starting your buffs? If so, start with longest CD (Raging Strikes), then use a skill, during GCD, pop another buff. Rinse repeat process.
    Should you be hit by any ground based AOE thats possible to be dodged? 99% of the time, nope, never. You got mobility, USE IT!
    Should I be willing to use my songs, and when? Super Ballad (ballad + battle voice) is useful in larger content when you aren't in a DPS race moment, and your healers are dipping around 50% mp.
    Should i be willing to use TP song? Yes and No.. Not being able to see party TP like MP is a bit annoying. If anything, request nicely your tank makes a macro to let you know when theyre low, if anything.
    What 5th crossclass should be used? Situational as ALL hell.. Most times i don't run with MNK, so i keep mantra. MNK there? put on Feint. DRG who uses feint there? Featherfoot maybe.
    What 4 other crossclass are fulltime? Blood for Blood, Internal Release, Invigorate, Second Wind (tentative, just very very useful to have).

    Like Truefaith said, if you're going to use macros, it's mostly attaching Bloodletter and/or Misery's End to everything. As far as I know, you strictly lose out on DPS by trying to chain skills together.

    I would recommend only combining Misery's End/Bloodletter with a single Skill.
    The reason for that is because using macros disables the command queue.
    That means you will lower your potential dps by using macros with skills that are on the global cooldown.

    To show you what I mean, put Heavy Shot from your skills list directly onto your hotbar.
    Cast it, then hit the button again about a second before the GCD actually looks ready.
    You will see that it automatically goes off the exact instant your GCD is ready. Cast it several more times in a row and notice how fluid and fast it appears.

    Now make a macro for Heavy Shot: /ac "Heavy Shot" <t> and put that macro on your bar. Now try the same thing, casting it several times in a row.
    You will notice that the server no longer lets you queue that skill up. You have to wait until AFTER the GCD shows as ready before you can hit the button.
    It will almost certainly feel more clunky and "slower".
    Because the macro can't utilize the command queue, you lose fractions of a second every single time you use the skill.
    Those fractions add up over the course of a fight, resulting in noticeably lower dps output.
    Because of the command queue, it's best to avoid using macros together with skills that are on the global cooldown wherever possible.

    HOWEVER;
    Venomous bite accounts for less than 10% of the total skill casts you'll execute over the course of a fight, so the dps loss from not utilizing the command queue with only this 1 skill will be nearly nonexistent.
    So if you want the convenience of being able to re-use one of your on global skills for weaving, then use Straight Shot, Windbite, and Heavy Shot by themselves, but then use this macro for Venomous Bite:
    /micon "Venomous Bite"
    /ac "Venmomous Bite" <t>
    /ac "Misery's End" <t>
    /ac "Bloodletter" <t>

    You can also macro your buffs together since they are all off-globals and you will be weaving them, so the command queue doesn't matter.

    I don't get why you even need to use the <tt>. It'll just make your queue slower.

    Though not often, there are some fights where you don't want to ever touch targets you may accidently tab to. Zu in PS and Spiny Plume in ruda X are 2 good examples. by using <tt> while lining up from the main tank, you prettymuch foolproof it into not being able to shoot anything else.
