PS4 Beta Confusion

Reply to Sion, you are correct, server side, none the less, if anything at all gets done to corrupt your data server side (god forbid), there will be the backup, I say this because of all of the ticks and fleas coming out of the last update for ps3.
When I saved ffxiv data to psplus cloud it saved character data separate from the saved game data- thats what I'm focusing on "character data".

As news doesn't seem to have spread here from the General forum;

The beta for the PS4 can be found (and thus added to your PS4's PSN account) via the web based playstation store. It's hiding under 'Games' -> 'New Releases' (the one at the top next to the Playstation Plus option) -> 'New this week'. Should be the third item at the moment.

Once you've 'bought' the free item there, go to your PS4 and navigate to your library and tell it to start downloading. Hey presto you'll be ready for the beta.

Go into the PSN Store and look at the Games. I couldn't search it but managed to find it by browsing and got it downloaded. Waiting for the beta open date.

so is it a good choice to buy a ps3 collectors edition then transfer my account tto ps4 version to bring all bonus to ps4 edition ?
