It runs hot because the windows drivers for the hardware don't suck.

There wew reviews done when steam for Mac came out comparing the same games in windows and in osx on the exact same hardware. Windows version had osx beat by rather large margins.

At those saying Mac Clients would do anything BAD for PC players. It sure nice to be a wanna be troll eh?
At those typical mac haters, shoo shoo, no place for you in 2014.
5 of your examples use variants of the same game engine.

Operating systems mostly. Screen size can be any that you're willing to pay for.

Oh my, this is pure gold. Best thing on the forums since the individual that said that for a program to have a Linux version, all source code had to be given too.

Statement: Run this game on BootCamp on a MacBook Pro, would love for FFXIV to come out on OSX, due to Macs being Intel, wouldn't take much...

There was a how to for ARR, but now you'd need to first log into windows, get your session ID and launch the game with the session ID whic is way more work than just booting into windows.

ugh. I want a mac client more than anything else on FFXIV ARR =.=
Hold your horses, cowboy. You need to revisit things.

    1. Patcher works fine in wine, but does take some work to get there.
    2. Session ID is only necessary to bypass the patcher.
    3. Session ID is obtainable via /proc/

And if you don't want to fight with anything, you take the lazy route and use CrossOver.

Not quite. It being Intel only means the architecture is the same. Libaries and hardware interfacing is drastically different from Windows. You can't write a wrapper around the existing files and call it done.
