Japan totally has a valentine's day for girls to give chocolate to guys, and white day for guys to give chocolate to girls. The doll festival is the next Japanese holiday. Founding day was last week (like 4th of July) but no big deal. Valentine's Day was a much bigger deal.

Zav must know nothing about Japan Vday is in JPN but they all so have white day all facts. And what's wrong with easy events? it's a event it's made for fun not for hardcore ppl to try to get top rank that's what pvp is for just enjoy what you get or maybe some of you rather have nothing?

My only complaint on events is when they overuse FATE-based events. Those aren't really fun anymore after you do them so many times. I'm really happy the Valentione's event and this event aren't FATE-based.

Plus this event looks really cute, and I can't wait to get my hands on that minion, it's one of the cutest things I've seen! Events for seasonal things don't have to give anything major. That's not really what events are for. They're supposed to be for fun and to celebrate seasonal holidays or special happenings or what have you, and everyone is supposed to be able to enjoy them.

These seasonal events are supposed to a breath of fresh air to the normal content. They do change the feel of the server when everyone around you is doing it as well which is pretty neat when everyone comes together.

More minions, yes! 52 and counting. Minion roulette is awesome with a huge selection.

And as others said, not everything needs to be a gear grind, it's nice getting nice, relaxed events like these.
Big content/gear updates are on a 3 month timer.

WTH? can't we have real events with some real rewards that help us in-game ???

Let me get this straight. You want some "uberomgweapon of winning +10" from events that are meant to be light-hearted/silly to break up the game as just a grind fest for "mad lootz"? Here's a novel concept, don't do them. If you don't like easy going events, ignore them, don't waste your time on them, move along. They are optional. Tada!

i'm paying this game to have updates every x day and events every x day.

Congrats! You are! ...and so are the millions of other people. And you get updates to the game. Don't worry next time updates are implemented they will be specifically just for you.

I don't want events that give uberoverpowered gear, i want things that makes us want it.
exemple: there could be a mini-game events where everyone try their best to be in the top 100 of each server or do daily quest events to get X points and buy stuff to get a mount or a special gem to make your weapon glow in a certain color, or .. special dyes for your gear or ... EXP potions / Bonus stats Food ? Something that is really in the game, sorry but minions are useless at 100%.
what could make them useful would be them to take loot but no need we get them instantly.
after that, they can't make them to be part of battles because that will just destroy raids.

I want this event, so you're saying everyone doesn't want this event?
for me its has lore taste, rewards are something cute, and the lore associated with it give me rewards for knowing the past civilazation for Ul'Dah that may not be what you want anyway.

Seasonal Events will always be simple and easy to get into like this one.

what you're asking is something that require coordination more and is not a simple events either. It could happen but dissing on seasonal events is not really something you should have said to compare it.
