SE, Please fix this FC exploit

So...the promote above your own rank thing is totally stupid, and if it doesn't work like that for a reason it should be heavily disclaimed.

However, you got got. Assumptions and stupidity on SE's part aside, someone tricked you. I really really hope that you get your money back, because as a small FC with 14mm in the bank I would be devastated, but in all honesty I don't think SE is going to get it back for you.

You should drop that person's name somewhere where others can see it so other people from Balmung can be aware of this scammer.

This is a known bug. It happened in my old FC. A member promoted himself above his own rank and stole all our gil from the FC coffer. I immediately reported the person and a portion of our gil was recovered. I assume the other portion had already been spent as I was told they were unable to get it back. I was instructed by the gm to not allow promotions by any other rank and to keep the FC coffer set so only the FC leader can withdraw from it.

I noticed this on release as I was able to promote others above my rank no my alt. I thought it was horrible design, but never considered it would be used to do this. I always lock gil removal to guild leader only, but I am paranoid.

It is absolutely shameful that SE will not offer you any help. I hope you get your items restored by someone who actually cares about the community that is still invested in playing their game. Those people should be taken care of as their numbers are getting smaller and smaller.

Yeah, I noticed it at launch as well. A few people have invite/gil withdraw rights too, but those are people I've known for 10+ years. I do hope this gets changed either way
