SE, Please fix this FC exploit

Crap, this happened on Balmung? I'll need to warn my friends about this. I hope your gil gets recovered somehow. This is obviously an oversight of some kind.

How have they not changed this yet? SERIOUSLY SE? At least you can't promote yourself to master or demote / kick the master with promote/demote/kick powers, but you can wreak real havok on an FC while a master is offline with settings this way. This was last commented on by SE TWO YEARS AGO.

I only revisited this thread after starting to recruit people into my FC again, and discovering this major flaw when giving someone else promote/demote power. That said, only my master rank has the ability to edit ranks, and there's not anything in the FC safe I'd lose sleep over if it vanished.

This is what I would like to see changed/added:
Show the "who" invites/promotes/demotes in the chat log and also record it in the activity log.
Add a notification setting for leadership positions to see when items are removed/deposited into the Free Company chest (on/off feature) - something similar to something selling on the market wards, except it would say "Name withdraws .... from the Free Company Chest"

there is a notification in activity log last i checked if you go to look though it would get buried if you got a big fc and people are doing stuff I.E gardening buying fc actions etc...i highly doubt SE will add a notice to say who took what from fc other then whats already provided...though i feel sorry for your fc i've seen it happen before and understand that it would anger anyone

I agree, it is pointless making a hierarchy that allows people to promote above their own rank. That really needs to be changed. There have been far too many stories like this.
I'd like to see a system like they have in WoW, where people are only able to promote to the rank below theirs, and only the FC leader can change permissions.
The system here is too easy to exploit.

This is why my FC has no Gil Withdrawal access, and the only rank available to withdraw funds is mine.

If people need money, they can ask me for it.

If a Free Company Leader could lock ranks so no one can be promoted to them, it would fix this because the FC leader can lock the ranks that have bank access or access to the high value company chest page, and it won't matter whether or not you can promote above your rank since the ranks with the access are locked.

SE's rank system is free form, the numerical order doesn't really mean much since you can assign rights to any rank. However if your FC has a master, and two officer ranks, and several member ranks. It would be good to be able to lock down the officer ranks since the only person that should be promoting people to those is the company master. Also, don't allow any rank but company master to define the hierarchy or access rights (that's something that the company master themself can do).
