SE, Please fix this FC exploit

I would seriously question the person who did the promoting, regardless of the issue of promoting above your own rank. Seriously, that players name didn't throw up any red flags?

They were more than likely in it together, and the OP realizes this, as they mentioned, "The person who did this is still hopping from FC to FC to try and scam them. He begs to be given permissions which will allow him access to their FC chest," in another post. As you pointed out about the name, I'm sure it was likely the 3rd ranked person that they are referring to.....

Nah. They merged with a smaller FC, and the ex leader of that FC was given promotion rights to assumedly below their rank and they were not given access to take things out of the FC chest. They brought in someone with an obviously RMT name and promoted that person above themselves and that person stole everything.

It does solve it, because it's not SE's job to make poor decisions in anyones Free company, the leader is stop giving the power to promote to others.

All you can do is ask SE to make some fixes and they aren't going to overhaul the whole FC if something sounds great they might consider it.

Though as I said its up to the leader and trust me stop having your members invite and then putting full access to everything that is on you. poor decision making.

There's a reason to have ranks. Dividing up permissions. As a guild leader in other games, its *really* fking annoying having to do all the invites, all the bank work.

Having the system obey hierarchy is perfectly feasible to ask. Otherwise why have ranks?

this has been a problem since official release, people have been doing this for 2 years now... there used to be a ton of posts about it as well ... but yes they should not allow to promote above their rank ... at one point they could promote them to leadership ... someone just missed the promote option in the fc ranks and they would invite a asjdfkljasdlkf alt and promote them and raid the chest... It is a shame that people resort to this kind of tactics and personally SE should ban them but their only reply is dont give them access.... how to build a community if you cant trust anyone .... just ban the people doing this its griefing, theft and harassment of a whole fc

Simple solution: if your a FC leader then only give yourself promotion/demotion capacity. If your not the leader then keep all your Gil that you would put in chest and either keep it separate from your personal Gil or just buy what your FC needs. The only reason I've found to put all your eggs in that 1 basket is if half your crafters play at different times otherwise it seems safer to just have everyone hold their own gil. Too many scurvy shisters out there these days

I remember back when my friend first made the FC and he got rid of all the ranks and remade new ones. It ended up causing everyone he invited to fall into the 2nd rank position by default. It seems when remaking all of them its where the problem is. He will have to make sure that the rankings are edited to give whatever the inviting rank is doesn't have permissions. It's really stupid but if no one notices it then it isn't an issue but its been months and it still seems to be. Best of luck getting your belongings.
