Killing Healers, tips

I want to know from groups that are experienced and do well, when there is an EOS and the fight drags on do you turn to kill it first and then the healer to make it easier?

Any time I kill a fairy fast, people say it's a waste of time, but they heal the healer and make it more annoying to gun them down with time, especially in long fights. Should I avoid the fairy altogether? Or is it good to kill it sometimes. Some people say to never touch it and focus on killing dps, or just keep on the healer, but neither die in those situations usually.

i used to think its a waste, but it depends on the situation your in. early game i think yea its a waste, should be going for that quick kill and sleep the pet. mid game if the sch isn't dieing, killing the pet while he's slept can be effective but a new pet could also be a swiftcast away if he has it up, its a high mana cost but sch doesn't really have to worry too much about mana.

Most effective way to kill me, is force me to purify with a sleep, then after purify is down stun/fullswing/unload. problem is some healers take coordination to kill and its hard (sometimes impossible) to do that solo queueing.

Thanks for the tip. I never played scholar myself so don't know how good the fairy can be really.

fairy can heal for a lot. i get crits for over 1k with mine, and that's without rouse. basically if theres an oppertunity to kill it then go for it. but if the sch is able to heal it easily then its not going to die

During a long game, bards can focus eos when kiting while staying in LoS of healer, summoners can kite+bane onto pet and efficiently apply pressure on Sch, same goes for BLM/WHM sleeps.
In any case, only target the fairy when:
Its 60% or lower while you are in transition to a target that the team is focusing
Healer thinks he's Usain Bolt and you can a coordinate quick swap with your melee dps while they are LoS of their pet
You are the last man standing and you want to send a message to the opposition that they only won because your team was composed of cactus's
You want to troll your team

As a tank your primary objective is to keep pressure on their caster or healer, force purifies with stun/blind/holmgang/disarm, protect your healer with thrill/cover/tetsudo, assist a focus'd swap to a target that has purified with fullswing+your burst combo.
