Need some help setting up Monk macross!!!

This is not an argumentative response but how does it reduce your effectiveness? It doesn't cause me to lose my stacks or affect my dps I am not a full Ilvl 90 monk but I can do easily 270-300+ dps on most encounters

The point isn't that macros will prevent you from performing adequately. Adequate performance isn't really a high standard. The point is that using macros will prevent you from performing at your best.

Specific to shoulder tackle and mercy stroke, having your gap closer on CD when you actually need it turns into a DPS loss, and using mercy stroke on an add when you need it on something that is burst dependent is a strategic loss. With mercy stroke having a very long CD, it is more important to use it where it needs to be used, unlike BRD's misery's end.

In the end, it is simply unwise to automate the usage of abilities that have more strategic value than pure damage.
