Frankly, it doesn't sound like you read anything I said at all. What does "professional" have to do with anything I said? This isn't a business, it's an entertainment I pay for. Because of changes in my life, personal ones, I don't want to cry every time I look at one of my characters, nor throw away my effort in this game in the trash.

No where is it said you could change your name so jumping into a game you feel you were not going to be serious in but ended up enjoying it is your fault.
Also, by "professional" I meant something cool sounding or maybe something that rolls off the tongue instead of something silly like... say... "BusterBlade Strife"

Again, seems like you read nothing I said. I was quite serious about the name. Things have changed in my life and NOW it is a cause of emotional pain. Maybe someday you'll understand the concept. My reasons are personal and none of your business, but if my post was too long for you to bother reading to understand, allow me to simplify it--

You were fine with the name you took when you married someone. Now you're divorced. Should you be forced to keep their last name for the rest of your life?

I find it a little silly you're so adamant about people keeping names, but I read in another post where you're perfectly fine with fantasia potions being sold on the mog station to change appearance between races on a whim. Why are you concrete on names but changing the characters entire appearance doesn't matter? That seems awfully silly. Going from an Elezen to Roegdyn to Mi'qote is certainly not the same as a haircut.

1. I actually read your post's a good number of times. And I fully understand what you mean.
2. I actually WOULD keep my name because why would I change the name people know me by?
3. Yes, Fantasia Potions. And you only get very few in the game (If your lucky, with full benefits, only 2 max or that 1 freebie you get for the month reward). Do you see name change potions in the game? No? Alright then so moving right along...
4. I could hardly care about your personal reasons but if you truly want to waste money just to change a name then who is to stop you? You can keep on asking but SE wont do anything unless a huge amount of players really want it. Other than that, I hear nothing in the news about SE working on some kind of name changing service. (hence, the little crown on a topic)

I was simply pointing out my opinion.

I simply stated that paying to change your name instead of making another character is just a waste of money and time.

Well, then I equally think changing your characters' race two times is a waste of time and money. You should have been more serious when you chose.
