It just the general design they follow now.

CT then goes into Coil.

While it is unknown if they will continue to follow this pattern for CT gear -> Coil gear -> CT2 Gear -> Coil2 Gear it the most likely the pattern they will follow right now.

Any answers we want will have to wait for the next live letter this month when they explain the other half of 2.2 content being released in 2.2 or until 2.2 is released.

Anyone can post up the question "What is Coil 2 gear ilvl?" on their next live letter if they want too.
