    2.16 macro change

"When the /action or /petaction commands are used and a target is not specified, macros will now function in the same way as regular actions.
    Example
The macro /action "Fast Blade" can now be used on targets selected with the target circle.
The macro /action "Cure" can now be used to heal oneself even if no target is present."

    I really dislike this change!!!

When I heal - specially in CT and I change targets allot or someone moves out of range while cast, I would end up wasting a cure and heal myself. I used a macro to eliminate this because it would just not work if target came unavailable - no curing self and wasting a cure/mp.

To me this is a big nerf/slap to healers.

Why change something in my opinion worked great. You had a choice - use the command directly for one style or use the macro for another style. Now SE has taking a great tool and choice away from us.

Please change this back and stop playing with things that work!!!

As a healer as well (still at work so I havent kicked this around personally) if it is worded as you say yes this does suck.

I <mo> nearly all my macros except for swiftcast+raise and would really not want a cure dumped on me causing a wasted overcure or free cure because the person I mouse over just happens to be out of range. Which happens a lot when healing in CT.

Urgh. As a mouseover macro healer as well, this is concerning. >_<

    /ac "Cure"

    is not

    /ac "Cure" <t>

Have you tested them both? It sounds like using <t> will give you the same behavior it always has.

YES, i have tested it today. My macros now heal me if I don't have a target selected.

/ac cure and /ac cure <t> do the same now

I dont think this is working as intended, because I am sure there were reassurances that <t> can be continued to be used if you so wish. Expect a hotfix sometime I guess.

For SCHs, I'm assuming this change is actually a good thing because we had to macro our pet heals like this -

    /ac Physick <t>
    /pac Embrace <t>
    /ac Physick <me>
    /pac Embrace <me>

The problem with that was if we pressed the macro earlier than it came off GCD, it healed us instead even though the target was in range. That occurred because the macro automatically selects the second command line if the first one isn't available. So if we press it a little too soon like a split second, it triggered the second command line to heal us instead. That was really annoying!

So now after this patch, I can simply have it to -

    /ac Physick <t>
    /pac Embrace <t>

At least it won't trigger to heal me if I press it too soon before it comes off GCD. The macro will simply get cancelled altogether, at least that's what I am assuming. Haven't tested yet. For you WHMs, I guess it's a bad change because you don't have to deal with double commands like SCHs. Just make sure you're in range before healing, that isn't rocket science to figure out. When you start casting on someone and they move out, you still get a cast completed on them - unless they move waay too far out which is only possible if they were on run speed. Otherwise, it will work regardless. Also most fights are small arenas anyway like the primals and coil turns. You will always be in range there. It's only the CT that has large boss arenas, so be careful there. Though I still wouldn't worry because that place is a joke to heal.

For what it's worth, it seems <mo> <tt> <f> etc. aren't working neither. It seems to be a general problem with the syntax which is causing the issue. It will be fixed.
