    I got gathering to 300 and perception to 268 and have been trying to catch this sine the Maelstrom patch. I have gone through 100's of lugworms. I see you said try pillbug so I'm onw to cape Westin now. Wish me luck

    Based on the data gathered from 169 catches on Japanese fishing webpage - http://ff14angler.com/fish/180 - Titanic Sawfish can be caught only between 9 and 14.

    I don't understand, Is the Merlthor goby a lvl 50 fish???? because i'm lvl 50 with 255 perception and i'm only getting HQ in 5% of those i catch. So it's kinda hard to get Wahoo HQ and then to try get titanic...

    i wasted all my sunny day not getting even one HQ Merlthor goby

    Wow, so today i decided to finally build up the courage to get this fish again...

    ...5 minutes in, and I caught two, back to back! I was freakin' over the moon! So one is up for sale for 100,000gil! XD

    I finally got it last week and to my surprise, the next fish you needed for the quest (dunno the english name) was mine after merely an hour of fishing. The fisher quest was the only one I had in my quest log as active since the 1st day of 2.2 lol.
