Spell Speed?

useless? no, but if u are a blm crit is your thing, forget spell speed, im a scholar and sspeed works pretty fine with me conmbined with selene

This is contradictory to EVERY reliable theorycrafting post about blm that I can find. If you're going to give people advice, don't give them wrong advice based on what you *think* would be good, using observations from a different job.

Actually, after 2.1, about 2 weeks into it, the new theorycraft for blm has been showing to switch to spell speed, but the difference is minimal as of right now. The main advantage is Titan, where you need to move around a lot, getting that cast of a half second faster makes a difference, more casts more damage more dps.

If your looking for theorycrafting posts about blm, you have to now look for anything in 2014, there are a lot of theorycrafting posts, pre-beta, beta, and september that show crit (crit was also pre-beta and beta thought to be the main stat because of thunder, but when that was changed that you can't stack the thunders, crit was switched in priority with det)

Theorycrafting is going to change every single patch, for same reason, pre 2.1 white mages did not want spell speed at all, post 2.1 now spell speed is more useful then crit. It was originally thought that there wasn't going to be enough spell speed to make it useful stat until gear level go up farther, it is now being shown that is not the case, but it's not the priority stat like WoW has it.

Also spell speed for summoner pre 2.1 was an important stat, because you could get an extra tick from your dots, post 2.2 you don't get that anymore, BUT parsers pre 2.1 were not accurate for dots, so nobody really knew. I only realized it beause one night I was bored and counting how many ticks my Miasma was getting off, 7, but when I changed gear the lower my spell speed, I was only counting 6.
