How about system restore to the date you know it was working? or right click properties and making it so it runs in administrative mode?? just throwing ideas out.

Uhh, here's a thought, are you trying to run in full screen mode? And if so, do you have the config set to the same screen resolution as your monitor? If so; Ripping from another post. Link at bottom.
The following will prevent the FINAL FANTASY XIV client from being installed properly on your computer:
- Please ensure there are at least 15 GB of free space on the drive designated in the installation path, and at least 6 GB of free space on the drive containing your My Documents folder.
- The hard drive containing the My Documents folder is formatted in FAT32.
- You have less than 1GB available on the drive containing the temporary folder.
If you are having trouble running the game even though you meet the minimum system requirements, please try the following:
1. Start the game in Window mode
Start Menu > All Programs > SQUARE ENIX > FINAL FANTASY XIV > FINAL FANTASY XIV Config
General > Video Settings > Display Mode > Windowed
2. Decrease the texture quality
Start Menu > All Programs > SQUARE ENIX > FINAL FANTASY XIV > FINAL FANTASY XIV Config
General > Graphics >
[Texture Quality] > Low
[Texture Quality Filter] > Lowest
3. Stop programs running in the background
Certain programs may prevent FINAL FANTASY XIV from running properly. Users may stop certain programs that are running in the background at their own discretion.
4. Update graphic drivers
Please visit the official website for your current graphics card for more information on how to update the graphic drivers.
5. Reinstall FINAL FANTASY XIV
Certain data may have been corrupt during the installation process. Please uninstall FINAL FANTASY XIV, and then reinstall it.
Also try turning off hardware mouse cursor, and depth of field..

Would love it if people would let us know if stuff was fixed, and closed their threads when it was.
