Forced First Person View when zoomed to close.

Since the 2.16 patch, if I try to zoom in onto any of my characters, it goes into first person view when on any of the mounts.

I have the option turned off where it would cause this and yet, it's still happening. Toggling it off/on does nothing. Zoom in, first person view. There is no way that I've found to prevent this from happening.
I don't play in 1st person view, but I do enjoy being able to actually zoom in as close to my characters as possible for some screenshots but no longer able to because if the camera gets too close, my character just simply vanishes and I'm in 1st person view.

Steps to Replicate:
Log into game, get onto a mount, zoom camera in as close to character as possible.. switches to First Person View. Hit ESC, go to Character Configuration and see Option to "switch to 1st person view when zoomed in" be it on or off.. still happens.
