Nobody spams ready check in wow because the game tells you who is starting ready checks. If people in FFXIV are using it to troll then they just need to add a line that says "X player" has started a ready check" That way people have accountability for using the feature. People using the feature to troll could be vote kicked.

yes , at this point any solution is welcome i guess.. the simpler, the fasterNobody spams ready check in wow because the game tells you who is starting ready checks. If they say why, why? Tell them that it's human nature.

I think it will be better if they just take "ready check" option out duty finder and only use it for premade party.
No, because (when used properly) a ready check feature is just as useful to DF groups as to pre-made ones (perhaps more so, because DF won't have any static groups with voice chat).
Solutions to the problem of abusing a feature shouldn't (except as a last resort) interfere with the intended, proper use of the feature. Two of the suggestions in this thread, displaying who initiated the ready-check and disabling it during combat, are perfectly fine when it's used as intended. I think if those two things could be implemented, the vast majority of abuse would end and on the rare occasions it was still abused, the harasser could be reported and vote-kicked. We shouldn't need solutions that nerf the check's intended purpose.

I agree with the accountability idea. It only requies a line of text that says "X has called for ready check". Very simple solution.
I understand the desire for anonymity when vote kicking or vote abandoning since if the motion is rejected you are now the parties target for harassment. Those need more technical solutions to avoid abuse.
The ready check does not need anonymity and gives parties the satisfaction of kicking the troll who is bold enough to do it when they know who it is.
.... Then again could be that troll who wants to be vote kicked to avoid penalty.
