Anyway to disable/revert some of these changes?

Sorry to say this, but the more I read it, the more it sounds like whining. You are not pointing at any problem, nor at something not working correctly. You're just stating that you don't like arguably useful changes and you want them removed.

I don't want them removed. I want an option for ME to turn them off/revert back to their original implementations. I prefer those. I didn't say "square remove these they sux." I said "is there anyway to change/revert these features?" kkthx

My mom plays and at 65 her ability to multitask has degraded some. So many times she'll miss the red effect, yet had no issuses dodging the ground bursts in ifrit. I think it's because the movement in the circles catches her attention better than the static red. So I think the change will be good for her.

And that's awesome. However, I don't enjoy the new animation and would prefer an option to keep it a static red area.

It's an MMO, a kind of game that is in perpetual evolution. Things are gonna change, are gonna be rebalanced, tweaks and fixes are constantly happen, and these are always for the best for the players. You need to accept this if you intend to continue playing.

Well really, what was the point of the little cog wheel on macro icons? As though people couldn't remember which spells were macros. It's just more UI clutter.
