Advanced payment options?

I'm wondering if there's anyway to just pay outright for 6 months or a year without having to do monthly renewal. I looked around on the mognet site and send the only way is to buy the correct amount of 'crysta' and set it to use those every month? typically though, companies would give some sort of discount for buying a long term subscription up front, but doesn't look to be this way with SE..

There are 60-day game time cards available for NA now.

You do get a discount for 90 or 180 day subscriptions. It's $1 off per month for 90 days, $2 off per day for 180 days (and the same if you pay with Crysta). Those are only available as recurring payments, but you can do so with either Crysta or a credit card. Really, the only difference between using Crysta and using a credit card is that you're using Crysta instead of a credit card.

You won't get these discounts with game time cards, since they add a flat 60 days to your remaining time and they're at a fixed price.

Well, they initially default to recurring payments mode, but you can turn that off any time you like. Go ahead and buy 6 months worth as though you were setting up a recurring payment, then just cancel the "recurring" status of it as soon as the first payment goes through.

so, I only have an 'entry' level subscription (12.99 usd), standard is 14.99 usd.. I only have and play 1 character, so I see no need to pay an extra 2.00 a month, but the entry doesn't have the 90 or 180 payment option. Then I come across this, which is confusing the hell out of me:


won't show me how many crysta 30 days would be since my account is active..

but, for a standard, 180 day, which ironically comes out to 12.99/month:



if I'm reading that right, the 180 days cost 186 crysta?! because...:

Hahaha, no, that display is wrong weird (Don't really know if it's wrong considering the following pro-rate theory). A crysta is a penny. That 186 ($1.86) might be some kind of pro-rated cost to upgrade what's left of your 30 days from entry to standard right now, and then the full crysta cost would kick in on your next renewal.

The cost for a 180-day standard sub is 7794 Crysta ($77.94, $12.99/month). It's 4197 Crysta for a 90-day standard sub ($41.97, $13.99/month).

At least for anyone paying in USD, 1 Crysta = 1 penny, both when buying them and when spending them to get subscription time. (I'm not quite sure how the Euro equivalent works out.)
180 days costs $77.94 or 7794 Crysta.

I'm not sure what that 186 Crysta cost is about. I think that page must be screwed up somehow. It's already suspicious that it says in one case that your sub is still valid but doesn't say the same in the other case.

The 186 crysta might be a prorated amount to bring you from the entry level sub to the standard level sub for that month.

yeah, that 1.86 (186crysta) is probably prorate, because I literally renewed day before yesterday.. (2 days off a 2.00 upgrade).. honestly didn't think of that when I saw it at first, so I was confused, but it was funny

so basically ill just have to buy the 7794 crysta and set it to renew with those though and not have to think about it for 6 months
