I remember my friend telling me this who bought the game (during that time). And then myself telling him that SE will prolly use this opportunity to jump the ship and shut down the game for good.

yeah i remember, i was pretty bored. that was around the time i took a trip to seattle though so it worked out, couldnt have played the game anyway. i donated some money to the relief fund though.

Nerve racking I'm sure. I flew over 3 days after to help out process soldiers and their family members. We moved a lot of people out of the country that didn't need to be there.
mostly students who wanted out after the quakes and one's who's visa's got cut short. Found out how tight Japan is with Immigration. They feel your in the way they'll say get the hell out real quick. I stayed about a month an a half on recovery teams before I got pulled back to the states.

I remember all the people whining about the downtime, and proving just how many of them were pitiless neckbeards with no life outside a game. As for myself, I browsed the forums, but generally did other things, rode my bike, stretched my legs out in that vast emptiness called the outside, that sort of thing :3
