    Most Useless Item in the Game Award!

    Master Fisher's Ring
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Item Level: 55/Equipment Level: 50
    GP +22/Reduced Durability Loss +10
    Most Useless Item in the Game:
    GP +22: Fisher's do not use GP. For anything. Ever.
    Reduced Durability Loss: Fisher's can Fish for 10+ hours without needing to repair.
    Melding: Not possible to meld.
    Note: A level 15 Ring with +1 Perception melded to it has better overall stats then this; and that would cost you 500gil.
    Actually it isn't. Especially when compared to the Crafting Illuminaries. Every level 70 two star item I HQ reduces my equipments durability by 1% whether I'm using the Illuminary or not. Therefore: No gil saved. And if this additional +10 helps in any way you'll be saving 1,000gil every 10 hours of fishing at most.
    True, but at least the Illuminaries have exactly the same stats (plus the reduced durability) when compared to their questable level 50 counterparts. However, this meldable Fishing ring doesn't even compare with a level 15 one. +Perception and +Gathering > Durability Loss.
    So the gathering job that gathers LOTS of useless items gets useless equipment too? BIG SURPRISE
    I suspect GP will find a use for fishers in 2.2
    And people will complain they can not spiritbond other accessories while fishing
    This is just guessing, except the stool and "more challenges" to fisherman I have no clue on what's coming.
    DoL jobs are the only times I come close to breaking my gear, fishing included. With every other kind of job, I find myself by repair NPCs frequently enough to the point where I'm never in bad need of a repair. This isn't the case with far-out long gathering sessions.
    I'll happily take a +10% durability ring, especially considering the fact that the effects of gathering/perception aren't really very clear for fishing like they are for botany/mining.
    I do agree that fishers need some way to use their GP though, and with a ring like this I suspect it's in the works.
