Please don't try to fix stuff by ruining what works well. The ability to move when casting is valuable, there must be a better way to cancel spells than sacrificing it.

Not sure if casting spells while moving is possible IRL or not. Until we find out can we go with what is less restrictive to gameplay?

At first I didnt like the fact that you could move while casting. I do agree with you here, but then I actually appreciated moving while casting when I was trying to heal a party member that was constantly moving...sometimes becoming too far away. I would be like "damn...he's gonna be too far away... wait! I can run!"

I hate escape as an "oh crap" button since that tends to be the the type of situation you'd want to stop casting a spell. It's quite a reach from the WASD keys. Just make it a settable button.

Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.

I'm afraid I have to disagree that the escape key is awkward as a kb/mouse (WASD) player. It's the go-to key to back out of menus, so I spam it all the time at the leve counter. It's already considered to be a 'cancel' key. Plus, it's already a standard cancel-spellcasting key in other MMOs.

But, for people that feel the same way you do and for our controller users, I agree that it should be a bindable (resassignable key). But I think it should be escape by default.

i'd love to see a cancel button put in place. you never feel more helpless than casting buffs on the party using a macro and then someone either pulls a mob or a mob gets too close and aggros. at this point with a macro you just turn and run saying no No NOOOOOOOOO lol.

i don't like the idea of moving to stop the cast as certain mobs like buffalo and hog will charge the party and knock them back during the cast. you need to move to get with your party to heal them. i understand the idea of having to concentrate to cast a spell, but concentrating and walking shouldn't be that difficult.

Well since i use an controller the br button thing was wrong but i just logged in and i can cancel my spells with my emote button I'm gonna try with the Keyboard in a few and see if that works.

Edit: OK i just tested it with a KB for some reason canceling spells with emote button only works with an controller its weird wonder if this is an glitch? Can anyone else try to confirm this?

    Esc (reassignable) to cancel please.

Casting while moving is something nice. Vanguard had it.

I was thinking it would be nice if putting away your weapon while casting a spell would cancel the spell. Sounds easy enough.
