Don't be silly. The closest you'll get to a restriction is that jumping won't be very high in the air. This is SE after all whom has generally good design taste, jumping will only be for interrupting spells and getting over ledges, NOT cheer leading Miqo'tes. LOL.
I laugh at the jump hate a long time considering it's a no brain feature in new MMOs. BioWare was even recently criticized by their fans for no jumping in DA2, guess what? It's in ME3 now.
It's an industry standard, get used to it you circa 1990 gamers. XD



It's not an industry standard to put in a feature that serves no purpose most of the time. It's just throwing in a feature for the sake of it. ME already had a jump/vault feature, it's just being extended for ME3 and not because it wasn't present in DA2.



The purpose of what? Entertainment? Please whether it's added because someone wants it there, or because it's tied directly to gameplay, or because someone wants it there and ties it directly to gameplay doesn't really matter. Play chicken or the egg all day long if you want, it doesn't matter in the end.

it is fine to use jump key as canceling the spell, I just hope that the mage doesn't really does jump animation whenever you cancel the spell <,<.

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
