PS3 Controller Hotbar problems

yep this is pretty much making my SCH unplayable. i cant even target pt members until my spell is finished casting, this bug is making an already difficult job on the game pad 10x harder. just tried to heal an ifrit x and the delay got me killed because my aetherflow didnt go off like it was supposed to and i had no lustrate stacks to heal myself with.

thanks SE, i can tell you guys tried, but damn you guys need to step your game up with this shit

I'm having this problem, too. Just tried to do a treasure hunt on SMN and got one where it spawns 1 boss + 2 waves of four adds. I got the first wave of adds and could not switch over to my pet hotbar to change its attack. I ended up having to Physick burn myself to stay alive. It got extremely ugly for a fight that should have been complete cake.

Im having issues too. I can no longer quickly exit my current target to select another target that's down the road quickly and efficiently.. The controller seems to feel "Sticky" and delay my actions. Hope they fix this, ps3 doesnt need this on top of the existing graphical lag.

should just go back to 1.0 hotbars. they were simple and effective.

Unnecessary in what way? Please. It's a valid complaint. Unless this is fixed in a timely manner (Which I doubt it will be) the PS4 beta isn't going to go well at all.

It's not going to be much of an issue on the PS4 beta because it doesn't use existing characters and is capped at lv 20, so changing hot bars quickly will not be as important as you won't have so many abilities that you need multiple cross hot bars during battle.

They need to fix this ASAP, though.

We have a lot of controller players in our FC and this will undoubtedly impact their performance.

Yeah, because we have to be lightning quick with our actions when we have 2 to choose from as a new character!

Try this as either a temporary fix or you may just decide you like it better anyway.

LT + RT (hold LT first, then hold RT) This brings up the Left side of Xbar 3 (or whichever xbar you choose)

RT + LT (hold RT first, then hold LT)This brings up the Right side of Xbar 3 (or whichever xbar you choose)

I like this setup for all my Classes/Jobs but is especially convenient for Smn/Sch since tapping the RB brings up the Pet Hotbar anyway.
