Indeed, after releasing any of the trigger buttons, you can not do anything for a certain amount of time, not even change targets or confirm the action you just selected (i.e. there's now a delay before you can place ground AoEs).

would love to know what that thing was as it never happened to me but now I cant do anything effectively except heal as most of my abilities are on the one bar for that job

There's a delay when targeting too. I noticed it when stoneskinning people as a whm. There really should not be a delay at all tbh.

Hopefully they can address this issue asap for this is game breaking for me.

Yes, glad I'm not the only one here who's been tearing their hair out to wonder what they did to the gamepad settings.

It's especially annoying as tank or healer class being unable to switch to another cross-hotbar set and the game will not let me do this in a timely manner.
Keeps getting stuck/pausing even when I'm spamming the R1/RB button. Was beginning to think I'd have to buy a new controller or something.

This needs to fixed asap. It's almost gamebreaking sometimes to be stuck on a hot-bar, and being unable to access more skills because the game decides screw with you.

THIS IS CRAP.

This needs to be fixed right away, there's more input delay than just the hotbar change, I'm finding new delay on the menu confirmation windows, as in deleting a spell off your hotbar. There's now a whole second delay between the window popping up and you being able to interact with it.

Why is there a delay on any of the buttons on my hotbar, TAKE IT OFF.

Good to hear they will be fixing this. Hope they do it soon.. like within a couple of days soon.

This really needs a quick fix. I couldn't play coil 4 tonight due to frustrating delay. Also, don't know if this is related, but i'm freezing when interacting with independent arms mender for about 10 - 15 seconds. Not really happy with the patch so far

Thought my controller was on its way out ><. Hopefully they fix it soon.
