I like the wet effect. It adds a nice extra layer of immersion. I just think it's funny that when your character goes from outside to inside, he/she's instantly dry. I wish the effect stayed for a little bit longer; like maybe 20-30 seconds?

Actuallly soaked effect is there, you can see it more on some armor more then others, or hairstyles. But from the way I understand it, it might flag out more with the 64-bit client.
Our games are only as good as the machines they run on. A perfectly graphic world with no lag is a yet to achieve dream. Virtual reality will make it so no one would want to leave. Maybe we wont have to. We could bank, order food, and game all from one virtual podium in our room. Even walk from room to room in our own homes thru cyber space instead of real space. Everyone will say, "Remember the days we used to sit on a cold toilet seat? Now all we have to do is pee in a straw." No more school bus showing up. Have little Susan and Johnny hooked up to the virtual machine to go to cyber school. Yep, the tech isn't advanced yet for mmo wet. Yet.

well I figured that the wet effect might be more obvious on light cloth armour... I wasn't disappointed!
but it's just... the bare skin parts (face, hands, arms and neck etc) look like they are dry even in the rain. I don't know about SE's skin but mine gets wet in the rain as well, not just my clothing! :/

I've noticed that the hair wetness up and disappears in the shade.
Both outside.
Both in the same time period.
One is in shadow, one is not.

I'd love for the time devs spent on this to go into a housing simulator that would let people design and save templates/pictures of their home setups. Yeah. Those 2.2 seconds of the day we'd pay attention to the water dripping down the game character's skin... so worth hours of development time.

I like the "cold breath" effect. The wet I am really disappointed. It is just more glossy and shine to your clothing. It really isn't even a wet effect to be honest. =/
