PS4 Beta Errors

I know it's in beta and I know it's in maintenance right now, but of course I was wondering if we could make our character before the beta starts. However, when it checks for the updated launcher version it can't find it and comes back with three errors 404 and two other errors I forget. I hope it gets fixed with 2.16 so beta play can run somewhat smooth this weekend!

On the maintenance it notes the issues that you may be speaking of

"Additionally, during this maintenance, there will be times in which the patch download feature is temporarily suspended. During such times, clients will not be able to be updated. If you receive an error while attempting to update the client, please wait a while and try again."

You know the beta starts Saturday. Per the info on the beta, we cant use our own toons for the 1st phase. Have to wait for phase 2 to use pre existing characters.

Yes. I know about that. I don't mind creating a new character for Phase 1 of PS4. I was just curious to see if I could create it before beta starts like we did for the PC Benchmark.

The way I understand it reading the notes is we won't actually create one it will already be there and we just choose a character but could be wrong.

You do know the beta for PS4 does not start till the 22nd right?

You can download the beta, but cannot connect to the launcher. The file size is approx 10.6 GB. At 02/22, on 12 AM PST the game will be available to play.

yes, you can download the beta client, but it doesn't go live until the 22nd.. just for shits & giggles, I tried running it today and got the same 3 errors.. my guess it just won't work until Saturday
