    New player and Lightning event

I just started last night and I saw that there is a Lightning event going on. I know I can probably get all the weapons/1 piece of armor by the time the event ends in a few days but my question is will the event ever come back? I don't think I have a shot in hell to make it to 45(?) by Monday... or even ~25 by then lol

I started grinding an Alt and it's already 21. It's definitely doable but would require a lot of grinding
This is already the second time the event returned, the first time wa sin November and they said it would return in Feb when the game launched, they haven't said anything about it coming back again, nor do I think they will.

Oh darn. I heard from a friend who plays this game that FATE grinding is helpful in this case?

You're a new player so your best bet is the storyline quests, when you unlock duty finder do the Daily Roulette, and queue for dungeons as you do the storyline quests. If a FATE is on your path go ahead and do it, but I'd say stick to storyline quests and Dungeons. You can also pick up local quests at the areas your Storyline quests are.

Nope, would still be quicker to FATE grind. If the purpose was to get all he lightning event gear, then yea, you should prolly FATE grind your heart out before it ends, and jump back to level a second/third char with story quests (these have to be done eventually anyways).

friends / free company / party finder dungeon farm.

Faster way and more fun than fate groups.

FATE farm gives lots of xp, nice in between dungeons when you are a lone dps.

wouldn't work, cause you would have to run through story mode to unlock dungeons :P

Battlecraft levequests have also been given exp boosts, even though the amount showed when you initiate one is much lower than what you actually end up with. Unfortunately the majority of players seem to regard leves as more for crafting and gathering classes and not for battle. But battlecraft leves are still worth doing, once you gained enough allowances that is.

Unlock a tank class. Get it to 15 and start spamming dungeons. Concentrate on story quests to unlock more dungeons. Ignore unnecessary side quests. As tank your que will probably be instant.

If you go GLA unlock CNJ as well. If you go MRD unlock GLA. Every low level FATE you run across switch to the secondary class and jump in. Your goal is to get it to 15 to unlock WAR or PLD. Keep an eye on your Hunting Log and be aware if you're in a zone that has a target.
