Dear Square Enix,

First of all, thank you for the years of enjoyment you’ve provided. I, like most seasoned gamers have thoroughly enjoyed a final fantasy game at one time or another in our gaming careers.

Thank you for the memories, they are irreplaceable.

Concerning A Realm Reborn and the conduct of the posters in this forum, I’d like to use this as a preface (please understand I removed the name of the poster in order to try and create bipartisanship from both camps):

There are 3, only 3 reasons why thread on this forum can be locked/deleted:
1. Thread gets nuked into oblivion by swearing, whining, insults that starts to flow around and no one remembers discussion topic. If it goes for several pages, then mods come to play.
2. You voice your opinion that SE is doing something wrong and back up it with facts and well thought arguments.
3. Thread gets reported by too many people.

No one, I repeat, no one in history of mankind (except you, our special one) have ever read forum guidelines. And no one cares about them, mods included (I say that as moderator of a few gaming forums). The only reason your 1st thread got locked was that majority of people reported you. And also, if you read those guidelines closely, there must be paragraph which states that creating same threads after 1st gets locked/deleted is bannable offence. Reported.

You can see throughout this entire thread that I plead and suggest people to please be on topic, link the forum regulations, and at no time throw insults at people for violations of these rules. Not only that, but I maintained my composure despite having my intelligence insulted, being threatened physically, and reading insults regarding people of certain sexual persuasions.

Can you please give some insight on how to handle some of these situations? Do we not report a violation due to a thread being possibly locked from acquiring too many violations? Is it inappropriate for a topic creator to remind people their comments are off topic and not appropriate concerning the conversation? I and several others are a little confused on how to handle the large amount of traffic and off topic posts that come along with a successful game such as this.

Forum life in any online game can be a crucial part of the gaming experience. Some of us use that experience to expand on our enjoyment in game. Whether it be recruiting for our company, advertising our in game skill sets ie selling a hm raid, or simply referencing material and opinions to give us insight for in game play…..they can all be resources we can value that enhance our experience.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, I’m really at a loss in how to handle some of these situations. In other words, if we can’t be right by following the rules, how can we possibly participate?
