Oh my gosh you are so right! Why didn't I think of that?! If I'm clearly not enjoying the end game grind on one character at level 50, surely I'd love to do it some more on another!
And for the record, I have all the classes I am interested in at 50.
Looking at the idea being suggested, a fun way to get users to explore the world more without the use of Aether travel, I just wanted to say that we are looking into more content focused on getting players out and about.
You can imagine that Treasure Maps were created as the first idea in this vein and we're currently thinking about how to expand on that idea!

Most likely not. Have to take into account the people who have zero interest with in game events. All that matters to them is cutting edge raiding. Being unable to do teleport around would be nothing but a huge hindrance to them, causing them to rage in game and on the forums. The event idea has good intentions but sadly it disincentives logging in during that time and you really dont want that.
SE should start making extremely dangerous zones where Aetherytes do not exist. Obviously, because the area is so dangerous, normal folk are unable to camp and create the Aetherytes in those area's. Could fit into the lore very well. The more dangerous zones would also be extremely rewarding...
yes please, more open world content!Looking at the idea being suggested, a fun way to get users to explore the world more without the use of Aether travel, I just wanted to say that we are looking into more content focused on getting players out and about.

Not everything needs to be instanced
More HNMs with actual drops (gear and crafting items) , overworld end game content <3
I would also like this, and Include a wild beast that spawns in the area for a period of time but it can't be killed then we would would have to watch ourselves!SE should start making extremely dangerous zones where Aetherytes do not exist. Add hortizonal progression type content to open world content like expand on the concept of a new type of materia tier which boost a jobs ability or add enhancements to them. Add rare item drops which crafter's need to be able to attach materia for end gear to unlock/equip slot's not just str,vit etc. but cure potency +5% as example. I hate to a point of the vertical progress on gear we need some horizontal progression on the side and crafters should be the ones to provide it if we cannot be the source of top end gear. Instead of getting rid of that old gear for the fresh new gear have it where the crafters could fuse the old gear into the new version with certain rare item to give the new version a % buff to new gear. Just my thoughts on it at least lolLooking at the idea being suggested, a fun way to get users to explore the world more without the use of Aether travel, I just wanted to say that we are looking into more content focused on getting players out and about.

You ruined the world when you made teleporting all over the place an option... you shouldn't have spoiled everyone -_-
What happened to public transport? one of my favourite past times in video games was travelling on a ferry with random players, fishing off the side of the boat... skeleton pirates jump on the ship, fish up giant monsters... what happened to that? getting on an airship that wasn't just a cut scene but an actual transport system, heaps of players sharing the flight with you, socializing, crafting, etc.
Destroy the Aethercytes, make the bad guys corrupt them or something... give us a reason to go out in the world, at this point we are all GM's and we can teleport anywhere we please, it's stupid.
I would like to throw in a request for more open world content that requires a small group to complete. The Hunting logs were great fun at launch as I could find players easily to group with and challenge the higher level enemies. More content that delivers this kind of experience would be great! How about an active 'Fight for Control' system, where all players and beastmen of their respective clan fight for regional influence to gain its access/perks?
For example, if you are with The Maelstorm and have no influence on other regions? I guess you are stuck taking an airship!
