well i think the NMs and HNM being taken away from the game really did kill alot of the adventure feel. there almost no reason to bother with the world because of that. People may hate the idea of long spawn times and camping but they were things that gave you a reason to play. There just needs to be some horizontal game play ideas and gear put into XIV so people don't suffer from linear mind-numbness.

I'd honestly like to see things like campaign besieged and Nyzul isle come back because they in all honesty extremely fun things and campaign and besieged actually effected the world. Really think Nyzul Isle would be a extreme enjoyed thing to bring back for the more hardcore players. I think the idea of this topic would work well with campaign but instead of them being destroyed they would fall under beastmen control if you didn't push back the attacking beastmen tribe and you'd be unable to use them. This could be used for ranking up in the missing GC ranks we've yet to get.
