Software Token for WP8

You have a soft token for iOS and Android. Can we please get a software token for Windows phone 8? Not looking for a debate forum people. This uses 0 dev staff on FFXIV to complete and hurts no projects SE has going on. Like your reply if you would like to see this happen.

As a WP8 owner, I obviously want an app too...

Just had someone hacking my e-mail account, and I really want a token software to make sure it doesn't happen to FFXIV too. It wouldn't take any time at all for them to make one....

Problem is that WP8 is rare, and people in Japan probably haven't even heard of it....

There needs needs to be notible demand for it if you want this to happen.

But why ?

I know for a fact that programming an app like this is very easy, especially since they already have an app for iOS and Android.... I could do it myself in no time at all. It won't cost them anything.

They obviously have a reason for not doing it. If it was really an easy one day job they can just get some intern to do for free, they'd have done it already for every possible phone OS there is instead of just the top 2. Hell, theyd do it for 3DS and Vita too.

They do have a physical token ya know. Bit more expensive than what an app would cost but still fairly cheap. Frankly, I like those more than having to navigate through my phone to find the app.

I have a physical token and a soft token on android. I don't know why people feel the need to discount having SE make a WP8 Token. It's a convenience request. I don't want to carry around this POS android that all I use it for is the token and that's it. the same with the physical token. why carry that around when I have a device that is always with me.

Problems phone have that real tokens have not, or at least less. Be it iOS, Android or windows phones.

Sofware crashes somehow wiping all apps.
Phone being submerged in some kind of liquid, damaging it beyond repair. (it can happen to the real token too, but the sticker on the back helps you to remove it from your account with the hotline)
Phones still get stolen.
Your battery dies and you have no charger with you because of, whatever.

I had one on my iPhone, with EVERY system update and app update I had to remove the token from the system and add the new one.

Advantages a phone app has over the hardware version:

An emergency reset password in case you no longer have access to the app any more. Not sure there is such a thing for the hardware version

Think "Field of Dreams", if you build it, they will come.

the whole "demand" thing is a little mute in this case. This is something they can literally people one guy one and get it done.
It not like they don't have knowledge of how the windows store works. I just bought FFIII on there. They had a cross promo
with Microsoft for this game + windows 8. so I really don't see any reason not to do this. Hell I would even pay for the app,
just so I could throw this POS andriod in the trash that I replaced with WP, 3 phones ago. I've had a HTC HD7, Lumia 920, and now
got the Lumia 1520.

Don't have one or know anyone who does but I will throw my hat in to support you peoples getting the security token app
