How would that make it any better then what I do now. I carry a android phone for no other reason but the token. This is a convenience request.

I have a physical key, so I don't need an app, but I also have WP8, and realise that companies shaft it regularly... It is the number three OS on the market, and is actually really damn good. I understand why large-scale development is often held back for WP8 due to risk versus reward, but for small things like this that will require virtually no investment, and provide a service to people who regularly plug their cash into the system, there really isn't an excuse to not develop. It's just penny pinching. (I'm also looking at you, multi-national banking conglomerate with my money in its vaults, and no WP app).
When the world was young, the Sun bestowed upon me his crown; always will I light your darkest hour.
I'm not going to give up on this issue. I'm not the only one that would like this to happen

No one cares about Windows Phone. True story.
Android and iOS control >90% of the mobile market. You chose a niche mobile device. That was your choice, made of your own free will. Squenix is not obligated to cater to niche devices. Battle.net Mobile Authenticator is also only for Android and iOS. Same with the Rift and SWTOR apps. Use Android or iOS if you want a mobile authenticator app.
Edit: my mistake, the Battle.net app is also for Blackberry.

Market share doesn't matter. There are more than double the amount of android than iOS in the market, but every app was released for this game on iOS with android as an after thought.
forget all those inferior phones... there needs to be something for...

WP7.8+ are wonderful devices with very poor/little app support or any support for that matter.
I am a little puzzled as to why SE hasn't released an authenticator for it. I could understand if we were talking about Steam or something along those lines, but, yeah.
For those of you with WP7.8+ there might be an alternative, in the meantime.
You could try using an Android emulator such as Bluestacks and download the app from the Market Place for Android, then run it and follow the setup instructions.
Be sure to save your special code/password in case of an emergency (Typically write it down or save it to an email account that's secured).
This is the way I have my authenticator setup currently. Have since the app became available and haven't had any issues.
This interest me. With this emulator, would I be able to clone it on multiple computers and it act as a single device? If I have to put it on a flash drive for it to workWP7.8+ are wonderful devices with very poor/little app support or any support for that matter.

it would put me right back to what I'm doing now. although this doesn't stop me from wanting the token on WP, it would be a good work around for the time being.

I haven't tried to do that with multiple PC but I would imagine is very possible, since the application uses your Google account as the source to sync. This interest me. So as long as you link the same account to each Bluestacks you install, it should generate the proper code each time.
You could also copy&paste the whole installation folder to a Flash drive or simply install it straight to the Flash drive if you wanted to use it as a "Token" of sorts.
I do not think that market share should have anything in common with increasing security.
And to be honest in my country Windows Phone has 20% market share, which is not that uncommon in Europe.
