PS4 beta test without ps3 account?

I have a ps4 sold my ps3 ages ago as it was getting outdated. I don't have ps3 version of the game just pc version but would like to beta test the ps4 version. Please make it so!! If there is a way without purchasing a ps3 version and i missed how can someone direct me in the right direction.

You will just be able to sign into your pc account on the ps4 beta. It wont be until April 14th that you will actually have to register a registration code.

You can play beta if you have ps4, but you wouldn't be able to play on your main character till phase 2 testing, anyone with a ps4 can partake in beta, not just people who has the game already on ps3 and PC.

Thanks for the replies. I am downloading it now . Upon reading on lodestone that asks you to link it to an account if i liked it as much as i do on pc i was thinking of making separate account just for ps4 version. Is it mandatory to link it to a current account does anyone know?

When you go to play the on the PS4, you must have a PSN account, and a Square-Enix account. The first time in, you will perform a linkage between those two accounts and THAT LINKAGE IS PERMANENT even if it's done during the Beta.

If you want to be able to use your existing characters during phase two of the PS4 Beta, you need to link your PSN account and your existing SE account. In addition, if you have more than one FFXIV Service account on that SE account, you must be sure to select the correct service account in the Beta. And this must all be done correctly in Beta Phase one.

If you do not remember the ID or password of your old PSN account you used on the PS3, you can just make a new one, and use that for the linkage. You can also use the previous PSN account you used on the PS3 provided you can log in to it from the PS4 (remembering the ID and password).

If you have previously linked your PSN and SE accounts from a PS3, you MUST use that linkage. It can not be changed.
